High Fiber Vegetables

Fiber is a food that control many issues of your body such as regular bowel movement, weight management, heart diseases, diabetes, skin problems etc. so it is very necessary to keep a minimum amount of fiber in your daily food intake. If you are not taking the right amount of fiber then you will suffer various health problems in the end. However, fiber rich foods come from muti-sources. That’s why you can enjoy various dishes made from fiber contain foods. Most of the fiber rich foods are plant based. Here I will describe some fiber rich vegetables


It is believed that pea is originated in Middle East and Ethiopia. Peas are found in shell and it is looked like diamond. It is a seasonal vegetable but you can find it throughput the year in frozen condition. Peas are eaten in various ways. You can eat raw peas, add in salads, or cook lightly. There are some famous pea recipe such as pea curry with cheese, pasta with peas and pancetta, salmon salad with peas and dill. Every cup of pea contains 11 grams o fiber.


Potato comes with various colors like white gold, purple etc. Along with these colors, it varies in nutrients also. Potatoes are very popular vegetable throughout the world. People from every region eat potato in various dishes. You can eat it boiling, mashed, fried, baked or grilled condition. Brussels sprouts

The name of it comes from the Brussels market as it was found in Brussels in 1200. However, this day it is grown all over North America, Europe, and Australia. You can eat it across the year, as it can be stored in freeze for long time. Steamed or roast Brussels are most delicious dish for food loving people. You can made Parmesan Brussels sprouts, Brussels sprouts with Walnuts and Arugula and Roasted Brussels Sprouts.


It looks like carrots but white in color. It is rich with vitamin c, potassium and folate. In this vegetable soluble fiber is found so that it keeps your blood sugar level balanced and makes you feel full. That’s why it is very popular among health conscious people. In raw condition, most of the people cannot eat it due to strong smell. Moreover, you can try some dishes like Old-Fashioned Shepherd’s Pie, Spiced Vegetable Wedges with Tangy Mustard Dip, Carrot, Parsnip, and Celeriac Stir-Fry. From every cup of parsnips, you will get 2.7 grams.


Spinach is originated in Persia and it is popular around the world now. It is filled with water and you can eat it as much as you can. So it keeps you satisfy for longer period. Spinach with salad is a delicious food item for many vegetarian. Steamed spinach is another way to eat it. Some famous dishes made with spinach are Salad with Blueberries, Feta Cheese, Slivered Almonds and Berry Mint Dressing, Millet with Spinach and Pine Nuts, Spinach and Guacamole Quesadillas.
